Thanks for the feedback. I don’t like ads, either. But I also don’t want to shut down Latterly because I can’t pay journalists. In the next few months, we’re going to start offering memberships in which readers can throw us $5 per month or more in exchange for a first glimpse of the stories. If I hear from enough people who hate the Audible sponsorship links (honestly, I thought Audible dovetailed well with the kind of publication we are—I had an Audible subscription when I used to commute) and enough people are supporting us through memberships, then I have no problem getting rid of the ads. More than anything, I want people reading Latterly; but the prerequisite to that is being able to fund Latterly journalism. Thoughts?
